Got your first UpChoose set? Here's what you need to know to make the most out of your subscription.
We're thrilled that your first UpChoose set has arrived! You're embarking on a different kind of shopping experience — one designed to learn from you and improve with each set you receive. We know you have a lot on your plate and we're here to help you save time, money, and reduce your environmental impact.
Your first set might be perfect. We'd be off to an amazing start! If it's not...that's part of the process. It's an opportunity for us to quickly learn what you like and what works best for you. We want you to get the most out of your subscription, so we've put together this article to guide you through the basic principles of how it all works.
The "Learning Set": Feedback is key
We hope you love this first set we prepared for you. We call the first set "the Learning Set" because it's the first chance to learn what works well (or not so well) for you. It's important we get these learnings as early as possible so we can start improving your experience.
If you love your first set, tell us why. Were there any colors you found delightful? Do you already have some favorite brands? We'll take note to get you more of what you love.
If you're not fully happy with the selection, please give us feedback. Did you notice some brands or fits don't work well for your little one?
We won't know for sure what works best for your little one before trying the first set of outfits and hearing from you. With UpChoose, the benefit is you get to try and learn quickly without having to purchase expensive clothes to find out. You can submit feedback anytime from your Timeline:
Visit your profile at upchoose.com and go to Subscriptions
Click on View my Set
Write your feedback, rate your set, and click Submit
Manage your subscription
You can easily manage your subscription in your Timeline page. This is where you can:
View your past, current and upcoming sets
Add preferences for your next swap
Confirm or reschedule your next swap
Use this set while the clothes fit. We don't know in advance how long you'll use each size because it depends on your little one's growth patterns. Our goal is to be flexible and tailor the program to your needs.
The only thing to keep in mind is to confirm or reschedule your next date. You'll see a default date for the next swap in 3 months, but you can change it based on when you need your new set. Don't worry, we'll send you reminders.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I track the items I received from UpChoose?
We'll upload a picture with all the items in your Timeline shortly after you get your set.
What happens if an item is stained or damaged?
You’re never charged extra for items returned stained or damaged. Don’t worry about insurance, either — your monthly subscription fee covers it.
What if my baby outgrows the clothes faster than I expect?
Swap clothing as soon as you need it! You can see your swap date on your profile in your Timeline, and you can confirm or reschedule it if you need it sooner (by default, it’s 3 months after you receive your current set).
How do swaps work?
We swap your current set for another set at the next size up. You always receive the next size first, in a reusable mailer that includes a prepaid return label to ship the previous set back.
Can I buy items to keep them?
Yes, absolutely. We suggest keeping 1 or 2 items from your set and the cost on average would be $10 or 15 per item. The pricing depends on how long you have rented a set and what items you keep. You can see more details about how to purchase items and the pricing here.
