Here's what you need to know about customizing your UpChoose set:

New vs Preloved

The most important factor that affects customization is whether you choose New or Preloved.

• When you choose the New option, we can pick or order items just for you, so there's a greater chance of meeting your specific requirements. This option gives you more control over what you receive.

• If you opt for Preloved, your set is prepared with items returned to us in good condition by other members. As a result, your preferences are taken into account based on the items available at the time we are preparing your set. The Preloved option offers bigger savings, but it may not be possible to meet all of your specific preferences.

Factors that affect customization

The first and most important factor that affects customization is whether you pick New or Preloved. Here are the other factors that also play a role in how well we can meet your preferences:

• Timeframe: If you order a few weeks in advance, we have more time to select items that align with your preferences. This is also useful to keep in mind for future swaps.

• How specific your preferences are: We're more likely to accommodate simple color preferences rather than very specific requests that may limit the options available. For example, asking for a particular print like a bird is less likely to be fulfilled.

• How many preferences do you submit: If you have several specific preferences, it may be challenging to fulfill all of them. For example, if you ask for zippers in very specific colors or prints in Preloved, it's less likely we will be able to accommodate all of those requests.

Making the most of your UpChoose experience

To make the most of your UpChoose experience, we suggest the following:

• Plan ahead and order in advance if possible.

• Focus on the 1 or 2 preferences that matter most, especially if you're selecting the Preloved option.

• Give us feedback on your Timeline to help us improve and tailor future sets to your preferences.
